Included are the American Bar Association's opinion on litigation funding as well as many State Bar Association's opinions issued on non-recourse funding. Not all states have online resources nor have all states issued opinions on lawsuit funding. You may be able to find additional information on your state Bar Association's position by visiting their website.

American Bar Association's Opinion on Litigation Funding
The American Bar Association's opinion on litigation funding is a positive one for the industry of non-recourse funding. This article gives a good overview of ethics rules, opinions and related legal opinions in the area of litigation financing. For the most part this type of funding has been allowed.

Some states have issued opinions on litigation funding. If your state has issued a relevant opinion, we have included it in this list.
